Custom Beam Caps
Often, inspected beams will reveal no decay and will require no repair. However, "beam caps" are frequently requested as a preventative measure against the moisture penetration that can lead to dry rot. A beam cap is a galvanized sheet metal cover, that is custom fit and installed atop a roof beam. Each cap is primed and painted (three coats total), and is sealed to the adjacent roof framing to protect against wind driven rain. |
